Saturday, September 4 - Cavern Tours at Penns Cave

This 50-minute interpretive tour features a motorboat trip that winds through cavern passageways with a ride on Lake Nitanee. The tour is on flat-bottom motorboats, which accommodate 20-22 people. There are 48 steps that lead to the main entrance to the cave, so be prepared for some walking! A sweater or jacket is recommended because the temperature is 52 degrees. Cameras and video cameras are permitted. Penns Cave is open daily from September 1st to November 30th. 90-minute guided wildlife tours are also available.

How: No reservations required for individuals. Group rates are available and require advanced reservations.

Saturday, September 11 - Celebrate Life Fundraiser

A Woman's Concern will be holding their annual "Celebrate Life" fundraiser. There will be a two mile run/walk, 10 mile bicycle ride and 40 mile motorcycle ride and scavenger hunt. After the events there will be lunch and an afternoon of family games; there will also be a band playing all afternoon. Some of the activities will include a rock wall, bounce house, dunking booth, face painting, and carnival style games! Bring the entire family out to enjoy an afternoon of charity and fun!

Sunday, October 3 - Ladies Bunco Night!

Ladies, this one is just for you! Enjoy a fabulous night of fun while supporting a fantastic cause. Join us for BUNCO! There will be food and beverages provided, raffles, and prizes (highest bunco, lowest bunco, most bunco, and last bunco)! This event is being held to support the Philipsburg YMCA's Melody Hounds Musical Program. This is a great program for the youth of our area that provides a delightful and joyous way for children to develop their musical intelligence. There will also be a Melody Hounds-Lomax grand door prize awarded! But don't wait long. There will only be 100 tickets available for this event! Reserve yours today.
